INCENT FOURNIER says "My photos question the world which surrounds us by creating shady, improbable, sometimes inconsistent situations, always on the border of serious history and childhood dreams".
His works are not only revealing his passion for science, technology and their mysteries but also witnessing utopia worlds as fantasized by humankind. His pictures are poetic and very meticulous, which is the result of a long preparation in advance and a curious taste for opposites patiently fed with films (Jacques Tati, David Cronenberg) and literature (Charles Darwin, Jules Vernes).
In Post Natural History, VINCENT FOURNIER reinterprets the concept of a curiosity cabinet. He presents new, futuristic pecies by bringing about a journey in time rather than in space. He creates beings that are reprogrammed by man to respond to changing environment based on current research in the domain of synthetic biology and cybernetics.
VINCENT FOURNIER lives in Paris.
