Sebastien Leon
Contemporary art
S
ebastien Leon is a French Los Angeles-based artist and designer active in fields of installation, painting, video, sculpture and furniture.
Sebastien's projects test the physicality and sound of space and time in paintings that map altered dimensions, sculptures that echo in our fingers, and installations that invite to voyage. His multi-disciplinary work distills a hypnotic means of transcendence grounded in abstract mathematical forms continually disrupted by allure of irregularity.
Sebastien exhibits his work internationally in galleries ans museums, such as Paris's Palais de Tokyo, New York's Park Avenue Armory, Beijing's UCCA, and Milan's Palazzo della Triennale. In parallel, he conceives experiential projects for architectural clients and brands such as Krug, Audemars Piguet and Samsung.
in 2017, Please Do Not Enter commisioned the artist for an indoor/outdoor art installation for its pop-up store on Melrose Avenue. Leon also conceived in 2018 an immersive art piece for the opening of Please Do Not Enter new location at the NoMad Hotel Los Angeles.
